Library usage and final grades

A librarian from the U of Huddersfield in W. Yorkshire worked with student records, library visits and circulation data (both print and electronic uses) to see if there were any correlations between the final degree grade and the library data.  No correlation for visits, but some for use of print and electronic material.

They must have more control over their systems than we do, to be able to track individual usage.

We have similar results for visits and asking library staff for help as reported by students: correlation with GPA that is too small to be meaningful.  We could try to work with IRP to find out what is going on with use of print resources and GPA.  It is interesting that they could track e resource use.
